There is no accurate price per square foot that applies to every custom home. Size, design complexity, site conditions, foundation type, utilities, finishes, windows, mechanical systems, and dozens of other choices all move the number. We would rather sit down and talk through your actual project than hand you a generic figure that turns out to be wrong.

Yes. Shop homes and barndominiums are one of our favorite kinds of projects to build.

We are based in Billings, Montana and build throughout Yellowstone County and Musselshell County, including Billings, Laurel, and Roundup. Contact us with your project location and we will let you know whether it is within our current service area.

Our primary focus is custom homes, barndominiums and shop homes, and shops and garages. We also take on select concrete, deck and exterior, countertop, and remodel projects. If your project is not on that list, ask. If it is not a good fit for us, we will tell you.

We self-perform a significant portion of our construction work, including concrete, framing, siding, roofing, and finish carpentry, and use trusted local subcontractors for specialized trades like plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and drywall. That lets us stay actively involved in the build while bringing in experienced professionals where needed.

We build stick-framed structures on concrete foundations. Stick framing tends to be the better fit when the building will function primarily as a home: it gives you more flexibility for insulation, mechanical systems, interior finishes, and window placement, and lenders generally treat it like conventional construction. Post-frame (pole) buildings can be a good, economical solution for certain agricultural and storage uses. We will help you evaluate the options based on what you are building rather than pushing one method by default.

Yes. We can build a weather-tight shell for you to finish yourself, a fully finished turnkey home, or anything in between.

Yes. We work closely with you on design and budget from the start so the build fits your vision and your numbers before any work begins.

It depends on the size and scope. We will give you a realistic timeline up front and keep you updated throughout the build so there are no surprises.

Generally, yes. Stick-built structures on a permanent foundation are treated like conventional construction by most lenders, which makes them much easier to finance than pole barns. Talk to your lender early in the planning process.
