About
Meet Your Builder
A hands-on Billings builder who personally runs every build and works alongside the crew.
Owner, Hammer Down Construction
Bryan
Hammer Down Construction was built around a simple idea: do quality work and stand behind it.
We aren't trying to be the biggest builder in Montana. We're trying to be the one you'd hire again. That means every project gets the attention it deserves, and it's why I stay directly involved and work alongside our crew.
When you hire Hammer Down, you're not hiring a salesperson who disappears after the contract is signed. You're hiring the people who are actually responsible for building your project.
For me, that's what being a builder should mean.

What Every Project Comes Back To
-
Hands-On
We're builders, not just project managers.
-
Personal
You'll work directly with the people responsible for your project.
-
Focused
The same owner and the same crew on your project from the first footing to the final walkthrough.
-
Quality
We take pride in building projects we'd be comfortable putting our own name on.
More Than a General Contractor
How We Work
One of the things that makes Hammer Down different is how involved we stay throughout construction. Rather than subcontracting every phase and managing your project from a distance, we self-perform much of the work ourselves and partner with trusted local subcontractors for specialized trades.
That gives us far more control over scheduling, workmanship, and the finished product on every build we take on in Billings and the surrounding areas.
One crew and one point of contact, from footing to finish.
The Hammer Down Build Process
No mystery, no surprises. Here is how a project moves from a first conversation to move-in day.
-
Initial Consultation
We start by talking through your property, plans, goals, timeline, and approximate budget.
Don't have everything figured out yet? That's okay. Part of our job is helping you understand what needs to happen next.
-
Preconstruction
Before construction begins, we work through plans, engineering, site conditions, selections, subcontractor pricing, and project costs.
The goal is to identify the major decisions before they become expensive changes during construction.
-
Proposal & Contract
Once the scope is established, we walk through the construction proposal, allowances, responsibilities, and contract so everyone understands exactly what is being built.
-
Construction
This is where the hands-on approach matters. We're actively involved throughout construction, from concrete and framing through every stage of the build, while coordinating the specialized trades required to complete your home.
-
Completion
Before turnover, we walk through the home with you, address any remaining punch-list items, and make sure the project is ready for you to enjoy.
